Priyanka Chopra becomes brand ambassador for Pepsi

Priyanka Chopra’s going to have plenty of male company for her latest project. She’s just signed up to endorse a leading cola brand — making her the only female ambassador among others like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Ranbir Kapoor.

Priyanka Chopra’s going to have plenty of male company for her latest project. She’s just signed up to endorse a leading cola brand — making her the only female ambassador among other names like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and her Barfi! co-star, Ranbir Kapoor.

“For some time now, the brand had been focussing on cricketers. Now, they want some Bollywood biggies to mix up things. With Ranbir already on board, Priyanka has been roped in because among the top-rung actresses, she is possibly the only one without a beverage brand to her credit,” says an industry insider.

Apparently, PC is pocketing a whopping Rs 4 crore a year as per the deal. And since she is releasing her maiden music album soon, they’re looking at partnering with her for that venture too.

When contacted, Priyanka confirms, “I’m very happy to be associating with Pepsi. We have some exciting things planned which will truly ‘Change The Game’ (the brand’s latest campaign tagline).” It is believed that the actor is coming back as the cola company’s preferred face after four years. Reportedly, she had walked out of the deal in 2008 over some endorsement fee issues.
