Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao, who is currently receiving wide appreciation for his performance in Hansal Mehta’s Omerta that is being screened at film festivals, hurt himself badly on the sets of Farah Khan’s show Lip Sing Battle.
Sharing a picture from the hospital bed, Rajkummar wrote, “Yes,I broke a leg.Thank u @TheFarahKhan @Patralekhaa9 4 being d best supprt systm & sorry @kritisanon & team couldn’t finish d show😭#LipSing.”
According to an Indian Express report, Rao fractured his leg when he was dancing on the stage at the Yash Raj Films Studios in Andheri, Mumbai. “Rajkummar was shooting with his Bareilly Ki Barfi co-star Kriti Sanon for the episode. While dancing on Akshay Kumar’s song Chinta Ta Chita Chita, Rajkummar was to jump from a height. He mistimed his jump and was left writhing in pain. He was rushed to the nearby Kokilaben Ambani Hospital where the doctors found that he had fractured his ankle. He will be in the hospital for sometime,” it quoted a source as saying.

At present, he is working in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Fanney Khan where he will star alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor. The actor has lost 10kg for his role in the movie.Being directed by Atul Manjrekar and produced by Mehra, the film takes on body shaming.
