Bollywood filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani shared a new poster from his upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic, Sanju on Wednesday. Ranbir Kapoor looks exactly like the Munnabhai star from the ’90s. He flaunts the same hairstyle as Sanjay when he featured in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak (1991).

Sharing the picture, Hirani tweeted, “Here is Ranbir as #Sanju in the 90’s. #RanbirKapoor #RajkumarHiraniFilms @VVCFilms @foxstarhindi.”

Ranbir Kapoor plays Sanjay in the movie that also stars Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, among others.

Promising fans that he will reveal new stills and posters from Sanju every day, the director had earlier tweeted, “Starting tomorrow, I’m going to put out posters and production stills of Ranbir as Sanju. A new one everyday. Hope you like it. #RanbirKapoor #RajkumarHiraniFilms @VVCFilms @foxstarhindi.”

Taking at the teaser launch of Sanju, Ranbir had said he enjoyed playing Sanjay as Munnabhai, “It was difficult to play the young Sanju. There were more faces we had to show; the drugs and his mother’s loss. The fun was the Munna Bhai phase.”

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju also stars Paresh Rawal, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on June 29.
