Actor Ali Fazal is riding high on the success of his recent release Happy Bhag Jayegi, and now with his Hollywood film with actor Judi Dench lined up next, he has definitely entered the list of most-sought after stars in Bollywood. However, he says he is still learning the nuances of being popular in the industry.

“I don’t think stardom will ever go to my head. While everyone usually turns up late at Bollywood parties, I always reach these places on time and end up making a fool of myself,” laughs Fazal.

However, the actor confesses that having a huge fan following makes him happy. “I would be lying if I say it doesn’t give me a high. Any actor who says he does not like so many people shouting his name would be lying. We (actors) love it, but at the same time this love and craze keeps me going,” he says.

The 29-year-old adds, “The definition of stardom is changing. It’s not going to be the Khans but a new breed of actors, and I am glad to have jumped on to the bandwagon. I love the kind of work I am bringing to the table.”

The shooting of Fazal’s film with Dench will commence shortly. Does doing a big Hollywood project affect his choice of work in Bollywood? “I will look at more interesting projects now. I am really glad that one by one some interesting stuff is lined up for me here,” he says.
