Revealing the darker side of Delhi's social life in a humorous and witty manner, author Anita Kumar has penned her debut fiction.
Born in the United Kingdom, the author is a trained calligrapher and has earlier released two books- Turning the Page and The Divine Light, which she says are inspirational and classically spiritual.
"This is my first attempt at fiction and I have tried to make it a light read, something you can read while sipping coffee. I travel extensively between New York, Delhi and the UK and have presented the contrast I saw in the high society of the Capital. It (the book) is nothing overly intelligent," she says candidly.
Delhi: Anything Goes (Published by Om Books International, 250) revolves around four friends who grow up in Delhi in the '70s and '80s and later move to different continents. They reunite in the Capital decades later and see Reema, the only one to remain in the city of their shared past, bitten by the high society bug.

The author shared how she loves to read authors like Dan Brown, Louise Hay, Brien Weiss and John Grisham among others; and also loves coming home to Delhi.
"The warmth of the people in Delhi is beyond compare. I have travelled far and wide, but there is no place like home, and Delhi is home for me," she says.
Revealing a bit about her next book she adds, "My next will be about homosexual love, titled The Indian Affair. It will also be a light-hearted fiction and I am really excited to be working on this subject."
