NEW DELHI : Senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Rani Singh Nair took over as the new chairperson of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Monday. Her predecessor Atulesh Jindal, who was appointed in February this year, retired on Sunday. Nair, a 1979-batch IRS officer of the income tax cadre, worked as member (legislation and computerisation) at CBDT, in her previous posting.
