KK Birla group company Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (CFCL) on Wednesday reported a 46.6% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 112.98 crore during the April-June quarter due to an increase in sales.

CFCL’s net income rose 24% to Rs 1,689.62 crore during the quarter under review.
Sales increased to Rs 1,687.21 crore during the quarter against Rs 1,364.63 crore a year ago.
The company has invested Rs 20.84 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary CFCL Overseas Ltd, Cayman Islands, during the quarter.
