A global oversupply of large-sized liquid crystal displays (LCDs) is forecast to peak in the third quarter of this year, but it will balance out by the fourth quarter, a US-based research firm said on Friday.

The global supply of the LCDs exceeded demand by 6.4 per cent in the second quarter because of disappointing demand and faster additions to supply, iSuppli Corp said in a report.
