MTNL Q4 loss widens to Rs 1,573 cr

The company had posted a loss of Rs 73 crore for the same quarter ended March 31, 2009, MTNL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

For the year ended March 31, 2010, the company reported a loss of Rs 2,514.8 crore, while it had a net profit of Rs 211.7 crore in 2008-09.

Total income declined to Rs 4,905 crore for the year ended March 31, from Rs 5,250 crore in the same year-ago period.
