Ricoh plans big business push in India

Ricoh India Ltd, a subsidiary of Japan's $ 21.7 billion Ricoh Company Ltd has announced its strategic foray into the digital colour production printing segment, as a new initiative with the launch of its 14 variants.

Ricoh India Ltd, a subsidiary of Japan's $ 21.7 billion Ricoh Company Ltd has announced its strategic foray into the digital colour production printing segment, as a new initiative with the launch of its 14 variants.

Adopting a three-prong expansion strategy, the R254 crore turnover (Q4 of FY 2009-10) Indian subsidiary has planned geographical expansion of its current business; add new centres to its existing 140 locations; foraying into new business areas and emerge as a one-stop-solution company.

"The company has plans to foray into information technology services, education segment and offer consultancy to its clients," said N. Maitra, managing director, Ricoh India.
