SAIL to invest $12 bln in 4 overseas plants

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) will invest $12 billion to set up steel plants in Indonesia, Oman, Mongolia and South Africa.

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) will invest $12 billion to set up steel plants in Indonesia, Oman, Mongolia and South Africa, C.S. Verma, chairman of the company told reporters on Monday.

The plants would produce three million tonnes (MT) of steel each, Verma added.
