Body found in Panchkula; police suspect murder

The condition of the body indicated that the man was murdered 8-10 days ago, doctors at General Hospital, Sector 6, said, adding that post-mortem had revealed that he had been hit in the rib cage with a blunt weapon a number of times and the death was not due to any accident. The body was soon shifted to the mortuary of the hospital.

The police, however, claimed not to have received the post-mortem report.

“We are yet to register a case and investigations are on,” said the Chandimandir station house officer, inspector Arvind Kumar.
