Briton charged with murder of Punjabi-origin man

Police in the west Midlands have charged a Briton with the murder of Baljit Singh, whose body was discovered on New Year Day in Rowley Regis, near Birmingham.

Police in the west Midlands have charged a Briton with the murder of Baljit Singh, whose body was discovered on New Year Day in Rowley Regis, near Birmingham.

Stuart Millership, 32, who was arrested on December 31, will appear before Wolverhampton magistrates on Monday.

Singh’s body was discovered in the basement of a property in Rowley Regis. A post mortem revealed that Singh , 50 , died as a result of head injuries and a knife wound to the neck. He was last seen on December 23 when he left his home to collect a birthday cake for his son.

The police said that his devastated family have been told of the latest developments in the ongoing investigation.
