The cabinet which met here on Friday under the chairmanship of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda took a number of decisions including imposition of toll tax for commercial and heavy vehicles on 17-km Saha-Shahbad road. The cabinet also approved the extension of Delhi Metro from Mundka to Bahadurgarh.
The Haryana government would spend Rs 788 crore on this project, including a contribution of Rs 152 crore as grant towards one-third equity of Delhi segment.On Saha-Shahbad road, a toll of Rs 200 per trip including return journey would be collected from trucks loaded with goods or unloaded canters or multi-axle vehicles or dozers and earth movers.
In case of buses or mini buses with state carriage permits, the toll tax would be Rs 200 per trip, for single trip including return journey, Rs 300 for daily pass and Rs 6,000 for monthly pass. In case of buses or mini buses with contract carriage permits, it would be Rs 200 per trip including return journey.For maxi cabs, the toll tax would be Rs 20 per trip including return journey.Light commercial goods vehicles or loaded tractor trolley carrying non-agricultural products would be charged Rs 50 per trip including return journey. Vehicles having more than 10 tyres would have to pay a toll tax of Rs 300 per trip including return journey.
The mechanical vehicles like defence vehicles, non-commercial vehicles of all state governments, government of India, police vehicles, fire-fighting vehicles, ambulances, funeral vans, two wheelers, jeeps other than maxi cabs, cars, tractors and tractors with trolley for agriculture purpose would be exempted from the payment of toll tax.

{{/usCountry}}It was also decided to take 471 posts of forest guards out of the purview of Haryana Staff Selection Commission and fill these posts through a departmental committee. The forest department was facing an acute shortage of staff to check illegal felling of trees and thefts and it was felt that it would take a long time to fill these posts through the staff selection commission.The cabinet reviewed and approved annual administrative report of home guards and civil defence department for the year 2009-10, 67th report of public accounts committee of Haryana Vidhan Sabha 2011-12 on the report of comptroller and auditor general of India for the year ended March 31, 2008 (civil) and March 31, 2006 (revenue receipts).
