Centre to introduce system to ensure free flow of traffic without stopping for toll

Krishan Pal Gurjar union minister of state for Road Transport,highways and shipping said here today that the union governmet had decided to introduce Electronic Toll collection (ETC) system in the country.

Krishan Pal Gurjar union minister of state for Road Transport,highways and shipping said here today that the union governmet had decided to introduce Electronic Toll collection (ETC) system in the country.

This was being done to save fuel as vehicles had to wait for quite a long time at the toll barriers.
The govt hadroped in ICICI bank to implement this scheme under which a chip willbe installed on vehicles and such vehicle would not have to stop atthe barrier and toll tax will be automatically debited to the accountof vehicle owner.


Gurjar who was here today to over seearrangements for proposed visit of prime minister Narendra Modi onAugust 19 during his interaction with media persons in koel Tourismcomplex here said that the Prime minister will perform Bhumi poojanand lay foundation stone of Rs 1394 crore 166km long four laningproject of Kaithal- Siwani National highway here which will touchRajasthan border .


On four lanning of Kaithal- Ambala highway gurjar said that Thetenders for this project will be called with in two months and workwill start with in six months and will be completed with in two andhalf years. Only one toll Tax barrier will be constructed on thisroad he added .
