“Keeping in view the confession made by the juvenile, he has been convicted of crime. He has been directed to perform cleaning work in this court for two months beginning February 5 from 11 am to 1 pm (five days a week). His attendance will be marked in the court itself and the board will inspect his work,” read the order.

“This kidnapping was done with a dishonest intention and there was a false enticement on behalf of the juvenile, thus establishing his culpability. Also, the juvenile, in conflict with law, used to pass derogatory comments against the complainant. If she has evidence to the fact that her modesty was outraged, the same has to be believed,” the board said.

Initially, the juvenile claimed innocence, but later confessed. shailee.dogra@hindustantimes.com
