CTU employee dies in hit-and-run

A Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) bus conductor died after he was reportedly hit by a vehicle while on his way home on Monday night.
Sources in the police said Sandeep Singh, 50, was apparently crossing the road when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle, leaving him in a pool of blood on the Sector 20-30 traffic signal.
Around 10pm, he was noticed by a passerby who informed the police.
Rushed to Gover nment Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, he was declared brought dead. Sandeep was a resident of Sector 20. The police registered a case of causing death due to rash driving.
