Free medical camp to be held on Bali's birthday

Nagrota welfare society will be organising a free medical camp during the two-day 'Bal Mela' on July 26 and 27 to celebrate transport minister GS Bali's birthday on July 27.

Nagrota welfare society will be organising a free medical camp during the two-day 'Bal Mela' on July 26 and 27 to celebrate transport minister GS Bali's birthday on July 27.

Informing about the schedule during a press conference held here, Bali said that senior doctors from top medical institutes; including All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Fortis Hospital, BL Kapoor Hospital in Delhi and PGI Chandigarh; will conduct free medical checkup of the people in the camp.

The minister said that diabetes specialist, child specialist, top pediatrician, gasterology specialist from AIIMS would be arriving for the camp, while specialist from cardiology, herpetology expert from PGI Chandigarh would also be attending the camp.

He said that the Fortis hospital would be organising a separate camp, in which bone density test and echocardiography tests would be conducted.

The minister told that neurologists and ENT specialist would also be attending the public on the occasion.

The welfare society will also be distributing free medicines on the occasion. Irrigation and public health minister Vidya Stokes will be inaugurating the camp. A blood-donation camp will also be held on the occasion.
