Gallantry awardees to get free travel cards renewed in 3 yrs

Railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal announced that gallantry award winners would get their free travel cards renewed in every three years instead of one year. He made the announcement at a War Decorated India (WDI) convention held in Chandigarh on Saturday.

Railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal announced that gallantry award winners would get their free travel cards renewed in every three years instead of one year. He made the announcement at a War Decorated India (WDI) convention held in Chandigarh on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Army chief Gen Bikram Singh donated Rs 5 lakh to War Decorated India. Army Commander Western Command Lt Gen Sanjiv Chachra announced 50 per cent concession to gallantry awardees at clubs and guest houses under Western Command.
