The Punjab and Haryana high court has set aside the appointment of 11 information and public relations officers of Punjab government in 2012 and directed the state government to prepare a fresh merit list.

The Punjab and Haryana high court here on Friday set aside the appointment of 11 information and public relations officers of Punjab government in 2012 and directed the state government to prepare a fresh merit list.

The state government has also been asked to deduct the five additional marks that had been awarded to candidates who had passed Class 8 and 10 from schools in rural areas.
