In 8 months, government gives extension, re-employment to 60 officials, employees

In a written reply to a question posed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators Ravinder Singh Ravi from Dehra, Mahender Singh from Dharmpur and Satpal Singh Satti from Una, the government stated that in total 60 officials, employees had been given re-employment or extension in their services.

Of total 60, 33 have been given extension in services, while re-employment to remaining 28 officials and employees.

In a written reply to another question posed by BJP's Sarkaghat legislator Inder Singh, the government stated that there was no provision for maintenance of link roads connecting villages with main roads under member of Parliament local area development (MPLAD) and member of legislative assembly (MLA) fund programme.

Further, the government said in a written reply to a question posed by Bhoranj legislator Ishwar Das Dhiman that from April, 2013 to June 2013, vocational courses had been started in 100 selected schools across the state. For successful implementation of this program, the government has setup vocational labs in schools and teachers have been appointed through vocational training providers (VTP's) recommended by the national skill development corporation (NSDC).

The government also admitted that appointment process of teachers had been outsourced. It (government) also provided the details of schools selected for vocational programmes. Under this programme, 9 schools from Bilaspur, 9 from Chamba, 8 from Hamirpur, 14 from Kangra, 3 from Kinnaur, 7 from Kullu, 2 from Lahul and Spiti, 13 from Mandi, 12 from Shimla, 8 from Sirmaur, 7 from Solana and 8 from Una had been selected. For appointment of teachers, 5 VTPs were recommended by the NSDC.

The government also stated in a written reply to a question of Kullu legislator Maheshwar Singh that of total 3,243 gram sabha scheduled on July 6, 2014, as many as 2,570 were adjourned due to uncompleted quorum. The state government said proposal of holding gram sabha meeting on different dates was under consideration.
