Kuldeep Sharma to send notice to Abhay

Stating that INLD leader Abhay Chautala, some BJP leaders and a sitting Congress MP had attempted to tarnish his image by associating his name in the disappearance of a Yamunanagar naib tehsildar, Haryana assembly speaker Kuldeep Sharma on Thursday threatened to sue the first named for civil and criminal defamation.

Stating that INLD leader Abhay Chautala, some BJP leaders and a sitting Congress MP had attempted to tarnish his image by associating his name in the disappearance of a Yamunanagar naib tehsildar, Haryana assembly speaker Kuldeep Sharma on Thursday threatened to sue the first named for civil and criminal defamation.

Sharma was interacting with the media to clear the air over the mysterious January 3 disappearance of Yamunanagar naib tehsildar Anand Rawal, who later surfaced at his home on January 12. During the 10 days Rawal was missing, Abhay Chaultala said to have alleged that Sharma was behind Rawal's 'abduction'.

Sharma, who represents Ganaur constituency in Sonepat district, however, refused to name the sitting Congress MP, but categorically held that the latter had provoked the family of the 'missing' naib tehsildar to speak against him for vested political interests.

"I would not name the sitting Congress MP as he too had not spoken against me publicly, but I would say that he belongs to my community and is an MP from a nearby Lok Sabha seat and has a criminal background," Sharma said, adding that he would nonetheless settle scores with him (MP) at the personal level. "I would not work against him in the forthcoming polls as we are of the same party but there are others ways too to settle scores," he held.

To another question, he said he was neither claimant nor a candidate for any Lok Sabha seat in the forthcoming parliamentary polls. "But I would like to take any test from Ganauar assembly seat where I have worked for people during the past five years," he added.
