The employees were on their way to work when the accident happened. The injured were discharged after treatment at a private hospital.

Injured bus driver Satnam Singh said he had picked up around 25 employees to take them to work, and was on his way to the company’s office when he lost control over the bus due to potholes on the service road around 8 am. The bus overturned and six persons, including staff women Sanjogita and Suchitra, besides SS Gosain, Lal Chand and Bhupinder Kumar sustained injuries.

Residents have been complaining about the poor condition of the road under the railway overbridge, which is crying for attention for past several months. Commuters are compelled to move at a snail’s pace on these roads whose condition is not only an open invitation to mishaps but damages vehicles.

Though chief parliamentary secretary NK Sharma has been claiming that these roads would be repaired and constructed at a cost of Rs 11.75 crore.

But so far, no relief has been given to public.
