Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday said it had not yet been decided to give tickets to all sitting MLAs of the Congress for the ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections.
Replying to questions of mediapersons in Faridabad, Hooda made it clear that the Congress was a party with liberal ideology, had worked for all sections of society and the people of the state always condemned those who indulged in caste-based politics.
In a reply to another question, Hooda said there was no issue in recent Lok Sabha elections and on the basis of publicity of an individual, the BJP had grabbed mandate at the Centre.
The issues of Lok Sabha elections and Vidhan Sabha polls were entirely different, he said, adding that the Congress would contest the Vidhan Sabha elections on the basis of development made in the state.
It may be recalled that only on Wednesday, at a meeting of the Congress election panel at New Delhi for poll-bound Haryana witnessed a face-off between Hooda and state unit chief Ashok Tanwar over ticket distribution for the faction-ridden party.
