The local court had posted the matter for November 1, said Virbhadra's counsel Ajay Kochhar and Satyen Vaidya.

On January 16, Virbhadra filed a criminal defamation case against Arun Jaitley, former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his sons Anurag Thakur and Arun Dhumal.

However, later when Jaitley became finance and defence minister, Virbhadra withdrew the case of defamation against him.

Withdrawing the case against Jaitley, the CM said he did not wish to press the issue as Jaitely is country's finance minister and the state government had to interact with the union ministry about important financial matters.

Virbhadra had filed the case after BJP leaders, including Jaitley leveled allegations of corruption against him and also raised question about the link with a 'controversial' businessman Vakamulla Chandershekhar.
