One killed as truck hits motorcycle in Rupnagar
One person was killed and another injured in a road mishap on Rupnagar-Nawanshahr road near Asron village, about three kilometers from Rupnagar, on Tuesday.

One person was killed and another injured in a road mishap on Rupnagar-Nawanshahr road near Asron village, about three kilometers from Rupnagar, on Tuesday.
According to information, the accident took place when the driver of a speeding truck-trolla (PB 09H-9253), loaded with cement, going towards Balachaur on Rupnagar-Nawanshshr road, lost control and hit a car and a motorcycle parked on the roadside.
It also hit a parked truck loaded with wood there. Motorcyclist Dalbir Singh, of Fatehpur village near Balchaur, died on the spot, while another person Jagan Nath sustained injuries. The truck-trolla driver fled from the spot after the accident.
