She was speaking at rallies held across Mohali and its surrounding villages.

Addressing one of the rallies, Soni said, “My fellow Congress leaders have touched upon all the problems that are prevalent in the region which is how politics should be. I have been a political activist for years. Sometimes this effort has put me in harm’s way. This is what politics is all about, to understand people’s problems and take a stand. We need to understand that today there are two lakh new voters in Anandpur Sahib Constituency itself.”

She was accompanied by Local MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu along with senior congress leaders Kuljit Singh Nagra, Ramswaroop Joshi & Taran Taran Block Chief Sukhpal Singh Bhullar. Pawan Kumar Bansal also come out in support of Soni.

Balbir Singh Sidhu local Congress MLA said, “Our workers are working door-to-door and have made an effort to bring development to the people. Today, Punjab is in shambles; financially the state is in high debt, which is resulting in nonpayment of salaries and pensions, cities are being developed without any planning, petrol price in the state is higher and industries are nowhere to be seen.”
