During the resumed hearing of a protection money racket involving schoolchildren, a victim student said that the accused took friendly loan from him but issued threats when he asked for the money back.
Unshaken by the threats, the student, on Tuesday, bravely stood in the witness box to testify against the accused.
During his cross examination, the victim, who is a student of Class 10, told the court that the accused had taken a loan of `7,000 from him. The victim told the court that he lodged a complaint when the principal of the school questioned him regarding the accused.
Another student witness during his cross examination told the court that he had met the accused in a hukka bar and the second time, the accused came to his house, threatening him to pay them money.
UT police in January this year had booked three students who were victimised by the accused- Rattan Lubana, 22, Akhil Bharatiya Janata Party (ABVP) chairman at DAV College, Sector 10 and son of a BJP leader, Rajveer Singh, 24, son of a UT police constable and Amitoz Singh, 26, whose late father was a sub-inspector in the Punjab police.
The three students have already recorded their statements before the court and identified the accused.

The children, most of them in Classes 9 or 10 and from well-to-do families, are from Strawberry Fields High School and St John's High School in Sector 26, Vivek High School in Sector 38, and Delhi Public School, Sector 40.
Taking strict note of the accused threatening the witness in court room, additional chief judicial magistrate KK Jain, sent a complaint to district and sessions judge to be forwarded to Punjab and Haryana high court for appropriate action.
Sources reveled that the court in the reference to sent to high court had said that on Monday, when one of the student after recording his statement was leaving court room when accused Rattan Lubana and Amitoz Singh threatened the witness.
The court, in its complaint, has not only apprised the high court but also the session judge of the threats being issued by the accused in court room to the victim but had also attached the statement of the victim who is witness in the case giving details as to how the threats are being issued and witnesses are being pressurised not to appear before the court to depose against the accused.
Lobana has moved an application for bail before the high court seeking false implication in the case owing to political rivalry. The trial court had already dismissed his bail plea apprehending that the accused may threaten victims and hamper investigations.
