Punjab panchayat elections on May 12
Elections to panchayats, panchayat samitis and zila parishads in Punjab will be held on May 12. Announcing the poll schedule here on Friday, state election commissioner SS Brar said candidates can file their nominations with returning officers concerned from April 26 to 30.

Announcing the poll schedule here on Friday, state election commissioner SS Brar said candidates can file their nominations with returning officers concerned from April 26 to 30.
The scrutiny the papers will be done on May 2 and withdrawal of nominations will be allowed till May 3.
Polling will be conducted from 8am to 4pm on May 12 and counting will be done on May 14 with the announcement of results the same day.
