Two killed, 10 injured in Panipat accident

At least two pilgrims were killed and nearly 10 others sustained injuries in a road mishap on the National Highway-1 in Panipat in the wee hours of Sunday. Deceased included a 13-year-old child.

According to the reports, the victims were residents of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh and were returning to their homes after attending a religious function in New Delhi.

According to the police, pilgrims stooped their tractor trolley on the elevated highway for a while when a speeding truck rammed into them.

There were nearly 24 pilgrims travelling in the trolley and were heading towards Yamunanagar to reach Saharanpur.
