Unidentified miscreants made an unsuccessful attempt to break an automated teller machine (ATM) of Andhra Bank on the Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC) complex in Ali Pur, Barwala, in the wee hours on Tuesday.

According to police, the accused managed to open the lid of the ATM with the iron rods, but could not break the locker. There was no guard at the ATM when the incident took place, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras were also not installed inside the ATM and in the bank.
