The Bengaluru Police arrested four men on Saturday for triggering a brawl and assaulting a shopkeeper in the city's Munnekollal area. All the accused were booked under the charges of robbery and assault, said the police. In a video footage, which has been widely shared on the Internet, a group of men can be seen at the bakery, assaulting the shopkeeper. The men were seen ruthlessly blowing punches at the shopkeeper and he was even assaulted with plastic trays and a helmet.

The group was also seen vandalising the bakery, triggering panic in the area.

According to a report in The Hindu, the reason for the attack is said to be rivalry. The violence was pre-planned. The men who assaulted the shopkeeper ordered tea and cigarettes before the fight. However, an argument got triggered while paying the bill, followed by the incident. The shopkeeper also claimed that his money, a gold chain, mobile phone and cash was robbed by the accused.
