A 19-year-old student was stabbed to death by two men for objecting to bike stunts, eve-teasing, and smoking
A young life was lost in Bengaluru after he objected to eve-teasing, smoking and wheeling near his house.
19-year-old student, Thomas K, was stabbed to death by two men after he objected to eve-teasing and smoking near his home near K P Agrahara, Magadi Road.
According to reports, the deceased boy Thomas K, worked as a food delivery boy in his spare time and was studying animation at a Jayanagar institution.
The incident came to light when Thomas attempted to object to Chandan and Suri for allegedly engaging in eve-teasing near his house. According to the preliminary investigation, Chandan and Suri also made fun of Thomas' friend Lakshmikant's sister. Both continued their behaviour despite Thomas' repeated attempts, which irritated Thomas, and he decided to complain to the duo's father.
As per the reports, the incident took an ugly turn when Thomas met Ramesh Kumar, who owns a printing press, around 07:00 pm on Friday and narrated the entire episode, which enraged the duo.
Meanwhile, as Thomas was returning home. They started causing a commotion outside his house "He yelled at the youths and threatened to file a police report against them. Heated arguments ensued between them, after which the accused repeatedly stabbed him and fled," said a police officer.
Suri and Chandan attacked him near Pipeline Road, resulting in severe wounds. Residents rushed the profusely bleeding Thomas to a nearby hospital, where he died later that night. The K P Agrahara police have registered a murder case, and investigations are underway to identify the suspect.
