Straight from a heist thriller, ‘Special-26’, 10 persons posing as enforcement directorate (ED) officials carried out a fake raid at a dera in Sahnewal and decamped with ₹7 lakh cash and mobile phones.

Gurpreet Singh of the dera headed by Harbhajan Singh stated that two persons arrived at the dera on Tuesday night posing as ED officials.

Soon eight others in formal clothes also barged into the premises and asked for dera head Harbhajan Singh.

The persons confiscated the cash and mobile phones. While leaving they handed over a note to Gurpreet.

It was discovered that instead of ED officials, it was a bunch of swindlers who had duped Gurpreet and decamped with the cash and mobiles phones.

SHO, Sahnewal, Sewa Singh stated that they had received a complaint from the dera head and initiated a probe into the matter.
