Bring grains only after cleaning, drying: Haryana government to paddy farmers

A Haryana government official also said that farmers won’t face any problem during paddy procurement.

Haryana government on Sunday urged the farmers to bring their crop to the grain markets only after drying, cleaning and reducing the moisture content.

As per reports, though paddy has started arriving in Haryana grain markets, the government has not started procuring it citing high moisture content, leaving farmers worried. (Manoj Dhaka/HT)

“No farmer will have to face any problem during paddy procurement,” the spokesperson said, adding electric grain cleaning machines have been made available at the grain markets to clean and absorb the moisture in the paddy.
