Chandigarh Golf Club trains 30 budding players at winter camp

Thirty junior golfers, including EWS children, trained at a Chandigarh Golf Club camp promoting talent and skills from January 2-8, 2023.

As many as 30 junior golfers, including several children from the economically weaker sections (EWS), received training at a week-long winter camp, conducted by the Chandigarh Golf Club from January 2 to 8. The camp was aimed at promoting golf among children and identifying emerging talent. The daily sessions, conducted by coaches Saaniya Sharma, Tavleen Batra and Mahesh Kumar, focused on skill development, golf etiquette and sportsmanship.

A prize distribution ceremony was held on Thursday, where winners and participants were felicitated with certificates and awards. Chandigarh Golf Club president Ravibir Singh and junior golf promotions chairman Rohit Singh Dagar lauded the dedication and enthusiasm of the young golfers. The club’s media and publicity chairman Dr GS Kochhar said similar camps will be held in the future too.
