Gangster Deepak Tinu’s police remand extended in fake passport case

Deepak Tinnu is the main accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala and had escaped from police custody in Mansa. Police had also recovered 5 hand grenades and 2 semi-automatic pistols by Special Cell from Tinnu.

The main accused in the murder of Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Moose Wala, Deepak Tinnu was produced before the Mohali court on Friday after his eight-day remand was over in the case related to arranging fake passports for gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s aides. Having fled from the custody of Punjab Police on October 1, Deepak Tinu was arrested by the Delhi Police’s special cell from Rajasthan’s Ajmer on October 20.

On November 17, Tinu was brought on a production warrant from Mansa and sent to the custody of the state crime branch. Tinu is allegedly involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), while seeking police remand of Deepak Tinu from the court, argued that the names of some new people have come up in Tinu’s interrogation. He has to be taken outside the city for questioning. At the same time, they have to interrogate the people named by Tinnu.

As per police sources, Deepak connived with illegal travel agents of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan states by paying a huge amount to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s relative Sachin Thapan by putting his real photo on Indian passport on fake name and address and illegally sent them abroad to save from arrests.
