Jhajjar couple jumps in front of train, dies

The 28-year-old man was posted at Jhajjar DCP’s office. The police said that the woman’s long-term illness was the reason behind their suicide.

A 28-year-old home guard (contractual employee in Haryana police) and his 24-year-old wife ended their life by jumping before a moving train in Jhajjar on Thursday, police said. According to police, the couple got married two-year ago and the woman was suffering from a kidney problem.

“They left their house to visit Jhajjar on a bike. When they reached near the Gudda village railway track, the crossing was closed. The home guard parked the bike near the track and when the train arrived, they jumped before the train,” said a spokesman of Jhajjar police. The 28-year-old man was posted at Jhajjar DCP’s office. The police said that the woman’s long-term illness was the reason behind their suicide.
