The city of Karnal is set to witness a three-day cultural festival celebrating its heritage, culture, and contemporary achievements from November 13 to 15.
The ‘Karna Utsav’, organised by NIFAA and The Eventerz with support from the district administration, will kick off at Dr Mangal Sain Auditorium with a light-and-sound theatrical presentation titled ‘Ek Aur Kaunteya’, based on the life of Daanveer Karna.
Chief organiser Pritpal Singh Pannu said the festival will feature diverse folk performances on November 14 and conclude with a musical evening by bollywood singer Arvind Rajput. An open stage will also be set up for local artists alongside a special heritage exhibition and a food festival.
Additionally, an illustrated coffee table book documenting Karnal’s history from the Mahabharata era to the present day will be released during the event to connect the younger generation with the city’s rich legacy.
