A fire broke out at a garment manufacturing unit at Kali Sadak on Sunday afternoon. However, no casualty was reported from the incident.

The incident occurred at around 1.50pm, with around 40 people still working inside the four-storey building of DM Garments.
According to the workers, the fire broke out on the fourth floor where the waste cloth material after cutting was stored. At the time of the incident no worker was present on the fourth floor.
The workers saw the smoke rising from the fourth floor and fled. Ravi Yadav of the DM Garments alerted the fire brigade, following which three fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
Firefighters managed to douse the flames after a near two-hour long operation.
A short circuit in power supply cables was the likely cause for the fire. Yadav said the company has suffered huge losses as a large quantity of cloth was gutted in flames.
