Nana Patekar death news: Ravi Kishan pays tribute
"Hearing the extremely heartbreaking news of Nana Patekar ji's passing this morning has left my heart deeply distressed.
Even as a star, Nana ji was one of those great artists of Indian cinema who stayed miles away from stardom, identified by his simplicity, naturalness, and personality rooted in the soil. Living amidst the glitz of Mumbai, he never let go of his roots and values.
I shared a close bond with Nana ji. We would converse from time to time. From his acting, simplicity, and perspective on life, I learned a great deal. He always offered affection and encouragement. His departure is a great personal loss for me as well.
Nana Patekar ji's passing is an irreplaceable loss for the Indian film world. His art, simplicity, and memories will forever remain alive among us.
May God grant the departed soul a place at His divine feet and bestow strength upon his family and all loved ones to bear this immense sorrow.
Om Shanti," wrote Ravi Kisan.

Nana Patekar death news: ‘We tried our best’, says doctor
Talking to ANI, Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department, Manipal Hospital, said "Nana Patekar was brought dead to the hospital. He was declared dead by 5:30 am. We had tried our best to save him, but he was brought dead. Cardiac massage was given for almost 45 minutes to an hour, but he just could not be saved. As per what we recalled, at around 2:30, he sent a message to his friend that he was not feeling well. But as it was nighttime, his friend could not see the message. So he just called him. He went to his house at around 4 o'clock. By that time, he was sweating and all. They moved him, all those primary things. But he was slowly becoming unconscious... So they sent his caretaker to the hospital. He took our ambulance. When our ER team went there, they started cardiac massage because he was totally unresponsive. They shifted him to our hospital at around 4:20 or 4:30 am. We also tried our best, but he was brought dead. Then we had to file a police case because there's an MLC (medico-legal case). The body has now been taken to the Goa Medical College for post-mortem. His family was not there. His friends were there with him and a caretaker."

Nana Patekar death news: Maharashtra CM Fadnavis pays tribute
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis wrote: “The untimely and sudden ‘exit’ of veteran actor and my close friend Nana Patekar is deeply shocking and heartbreaking. I am immensely saddened. Nana was as great a human being as he was a towering figure on screen. He gave both the Marathi and Hindi film industries an entire era of cinema. Above all, audiences were deeply moved by the image of him as a patriot. From Krantiveer to Natsamrat, the powerful and nuanced range of performances he delivered throughout his journey remains unparalleled. His passing is therefore a great loss to the world of cinema and to acting. His forthrightness and fearlessness were integral to his personality. But ever since I became Chief Minister, I have also consistently seen the sensitive and compassionate person within him. When we launched the Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan, Nana himself came forward to support the initiative. Along with Makarand Anaspure, he founded the Naam Foundation and personally worked in the fields and villages. Whether it was helping farmers or extending a helping hand during periods of drought, Nana was always at the forefront. Even this year, as we face a drought situation, Nana would never have stayed away from helping people. But he has suddenly left us. I pay my heartfelt tribute to him. We share the grief of his family and countless admirers.”

Actor and co-star Riteish Deshmukh wrote on X: “I am shocked beyond words. Feels like a truck has hit me. Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Nana Patekar ji. An actor par excellence, incomparable to anyone, he carved his place in people’s hearts with his own unique style and brand of acting. There wasn’t a role or a character he couldn’t perform. He aced it all — a larger-than-life hero, a terrifying villain or be it his poker-faced comedy. He was a hero off screen too, and worked tirelessly through his charity for the good of the people. I had the privilege of sharing screen space with him in Bluffmaster and Housefull 5, but working with him in a Marathi film will forever remain my unfulfilled desire. My heartfelt and deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and the millions of his well-wishers. Truly, the end of an era. Thank you for your wisdom, your chats with me, the pat on my back, the shared laughter and for enriching me as a person. Rest in glory !!!!”
