The video, recorded near the Suvidha Centre located outside the police station premises on Sunday, showed the man panning the camera towards the main gate while using objectionable language. The clip soon went viral, drawing attention over its content and the location where it was filmed.

Police officials said the video portrayed law enforcement in a negative light and had the potential to create alarm or convey a misleading message.

Acting on the viral clip, Dehlon police traced the man and brought him in for questioning on Monday. Preventive action was initiated against him, police said.

Station house officer sub-inspector Avneet Kaur said the man admitted to recording the video and expressed regret over his actions. “He has submitted a written apology and assured that he will refrain from posting such objectionable content in the future,” she said.
