Northern Railways announces extension of Vande Bharat Express up to Jammu Tawi

The Northern Railways has announced the extension of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express up to Jammu Tawi, for the convenience of passengers within the jammu division, thereby paving way for the direct Vande Bharat train between the two capital cities.

“This extension will be inaugurated on April 30, operating as an inaugural special train (No. 02601) departing from Jammu Tawi,” said an official spokesperson here

The train will have 20 rakes and it will leave Jammu Tawi state at 10.30 am, will stop at Katra from 11.54 to 11.59 am before reaching Srinagar at 3.05 pm.
