According to hospital officials, a sweeper, during routine cleaning, found him unconscious and immediately alerted the staff. Upon examination, doctors declared him dead and alerted the police.

Police personnel later identified the man as a Yamunanagar resident and informed his family. He was married and had come to Panchkula to meet his relatives, police said.

No foul play is suspected so far. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage showed him entering the hospital alone. During preliminary investigations, police found multiple syringe marks on his arms and injections near the spot where the body was found, leading to suspicion of drug overdose.

The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem examination.
