Narinder Singh, general secretary of the Soft Tennis Association of Punjab, informed that the 2nd Asian Junior Soft Tennis Championship was organised at Harvest Tennis Academy, Jassowal, from February 4 to 8 under the supervision of the Asian Soft Tennis Federation and the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation.

During the four-day championship, Punjab players representing India delivered an outstanding performance and created history. Jaywant Singh Grewal won a gold medal in the team event, a silver medal in singles, and a bronze medal in doubles. Armaan Singh and Sahajpreet Singh Bajwa also clinched gold medals in the team event and secured bronze in the doubles event, bringing great pride to Punjab.
Teams from China, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Nepal, Bhutan, Laos, Timor-Leste, Sri Lanka, Thailand and host nation India participated in the championship and displayed commendable performances.
Congratulating the Punjab players on their historic achievement, chief secretary Narendra Singh, Manpreet Singh Ayali, Vikramjeet Singh, association president Anumeet Singh Heera Sodhi and Dr Pradeep Kumar Singh extended their best wishes and appreciated the players for bringing laurels to the state and the country.
