Four men were killed over the span of two days in two separate road accidents in Gurugram, police said on Friday.

The first accident took place on Old Railway Road near Lalji Hospital in Sector 12 at 12.45 am on Friday, when two friends were returning home on a motorcycle, police said.
Police said a speeding Tata Punch had hit them from behind, resulting in their instant death.
Police identified the deceased as Rohit Kumar, 26, originally from Rewari, and Abhishek Singh, 27, of Bhiwani. Kumar worked as a computer operator in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) while Singh was a property dealer.
A senior police officer said that the car driver was drunk and had lost control of his car, due to which he ended up hitting the duo’s motorcycle.
“Commuters, including Harsh Kumar, the duo’s friend who lived near the accident spot, and locals had come out for help after hearing the noise of the crash,” he said.
Police, after reaching the spot, apprehended the car driver, who tried to flee, police said. Investigators said that the duo were taken to a hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
Police said both the vehicles, including the car registered in Gurugram, were seized from the spot and the driver was taken for medical examination, and a BAC test was conducted, which showed that he was drunk during the incident.

Meanwhile, in the second accident, two men, identified by police as Aniruddh Kumar, 21, from Phogat, and his friend Atul Kumar, 22, of Sanwad, were killed after a bus speeding in the wrong direction hit their motorcycle near Gulmohar farmhouse in Sector 92 at 3.40 pm on Thursday.
A senior police officer said the bus driver abandoned his vehicle at the spot and fled on foot. “He could not slow down the bus due to its speed and mowed down the duo,” he said.
Their family members said they were childhood friends and had come to Gurugram recently in search of jobs.
Sandeep Turan, public relations officer of Gurugram police, said the bus was seized from the spot, but the driver was still on the run.
“On complaint of Aniruddh’s father, an FIR was registered against the bus driver under sections 106 and 281 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Sector 10A police station on Thursday,” he said, adding that both the bodies were handed over to their families after autopsy on Friday.
