Patli, Jamalpur flyovers on Gurugram-Pataudi Hwy set to open in Sept 1st week

NHAI targets September-end completion of the 45-km highway, with the Pahadi RoB and Dwarka Expressway flyover scheduled for 2027.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) plans to open flyovers at Patli and Jamalpur on the Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari highway by the beginning of September, officials said, as work on the 45-kilometre highway stretch nears completion.The flyovers, which are almost 90% finished, are likely to be opened in the first week of September, officials added.

The highway authority is targeting completion of the entire 45-km highway by September-end, except the railway overbridge (RoB) at Pahadi village and the flyover at Dwarka Expressway, which are likely to be completed in 2027. The project has been constructed at a cost of around ₹1,900 crore, with ₹600 crore spent on land acquisition.

“The flyover at Patli, which is adjacent to the Adani Logistics Park, is near completion, and it will be opened for traffic by the start of next month. Most of the work on the flyover has been completed. Another flyover at Jamalpur, which is around 5 km from Patli, will also be opened for traffic next month. Both these structures are near completion and will be given finishing touches,” said a senior NHAI official, asking not to be named.

NHAI officials said around 30% work on the RoB at Pahadi village has been completed. “We are working in tandem with railway authorities to complete the construction,” the official said.

The 45-km highway comprises 81 culverts, 23 vehicular underpasses, one RoB and two flyovers, among other structures. The project was initially estimated at ₹900 crore, but the cost increased after its scope was expanded, officials told HT. An authority official said around ₹1,300 crore has been spent on construction and infrastructure, including ₹600 crore on land acquisition.

At present, motorists travelling between Gurugram and Rewari mostly use the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. NHAI officials estimate around 70% of this traffic will shift to the new highway after completion, reducing pressure on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway.
