Working on land transfer for 3.2km road revamp project, says GMDA

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) aims to resolve issues regarding land acquisition for the upgradation of a 3.2 km road between Hero Honda Chowk and Umang Bhardwaj Chowk. The priority is acquiring 5 acres of land, shifting a power substation, and removing encroachments. The GMDA officials plan to transfer the land to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to begin the upgradation project. The NHAI recently put the project on hold due to obstacles in obtaining the necessary land. The stretch is known for heavy traffic and frequent jams during peak hours.
