UP Board exams: Fake flying squad busted in Agra, 4 held

The four accused, dressed in black coats, had reached Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Inter College in Agra during the UP Board exam in a Bolero without a number plate and had Government of India, Zila Magistrate and NCRB written over it.

Four persons, posing as flying squad members, were nabbed when they asked authorities of a college they raided here to open the strong room so that they could check the UP Board question papers. The college is a Board examination centre.

“The four accused, dressed in black coats, had reached Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Inter College on Kurra Chittarpur Road within limits of Iradat Nagar police station in Agra district on Monday morning. They came in a Bolero without a number plate and had Government of India, Zila Magistrate and NCRB written over it,” informed SP (city) Vikas Kumar.

“The four accused asked the college authorities to open the strong room so that the question papers could be verified. This raised a suspicion in the minds of staff and police deployed at the college, which is one of the centres for conducting the ongoing UP Board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 state-wide,” stated SP.

The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Manoj Kumar reached the school and asked the four accused to produce their identity cards, which they could not. The accused were nabbed. They could not even spell out the full form of NCRB written on their car and coats, informed SP.

“These four were found to be imposters and were arrested and taken to Iradat Nagar police station in Agra district. The accused have been identified as Raghuveer Singh Tomar, Ashok Kumar, Mukesh Singh and Devendra Kumar,” added SP (city) Vikas Kumar.

“On the complaint of centre manager, Ghanshyam Dixit, a case has been registered against the four for fraud and forgery,” informed Avdesh Gautam, the in-charge of Iradat Nagar police station of Agra.
