A 15-year-old- girl has been apprehended by police for allegedly trying to sell an infant in Faridabad.

According to police, Child Welfare Committee, Faridabad, president H S Mallik informed that the minor was found with a one-and-half-month old baby boy in a suspicious condition on a state transport bus.

The minor was presented before the Child Welfare Committee on Saturday during which the girl said she hailed from Delhi and the baby was of her sister’s sister-in-law. She said her sister promised to give her Rs 200 if she sold the baby, police said, adding she admitted to have sold babies before.
